On the 6th of October 1955 Citroën introduced his most unconventional car: the DS
(in French: la Déesse - the Goddess), shaped by the Italian artist Flaminio Bertoni.
This is a photographical homage, both Bertoni -who died in 1964- as for his timeless creation.
The often poetic -and non-glamorous pictures show The Car in diverging situations, where beauty and decay are intermingled elements.
Most photos were taken in the 90s, both on French junkyards, as in the Netherlands.
